Kappalyn has been installing CCTV Security Systems in various commercial and educational environments aimed at specific problems since 1990.
Retail: For the prevention of loss through "shrinkage" ie stealing.
- CCTV cameras positioned around the store to prevent shop lifting. Kappalyn ensures these cameras are correctly placed for the optimum effect and for clear identifiable pictures.
- CCTV integrated with a cash register/ POS terminal to resolve any discrepancies or disputes between staff and/or customers. As the cash register opens and records the sale, the camera records the transaction, cashier and customer.
Education: For the prevention and control of theft, bullying, vandalism and graffiti as well as security for staff and pupils from external threats.
- Internal CCTV Systems: Kappalyn is very experienced in the positioning of CCTV cameras in the most appropriate areas ie... the "trouble spots". Kappalyn knows where they are and configures systems to control the problems.
- External CCTV Systems: these can be installed in car parks, playgrounds, driveways, ovals. Kappalyn has installed systems in all these areas including street lighting.
Commercial and Industrial: Internally for the prevention of loss through "shrinkage" as well as stock control and externally, the security of the building to prevent or control vandalism and graffiti.
- Internal CCTV Systems: CCTV Cameras can be positioned and installed around the warehouses to prevent stealing. They can also be positioned in packing areas and loading bays to record stock (boxes, pallets etc) loaded and unloaded for stock control.
- External CCTV Systems: CCTV Cameras positioned around the outside of the premises to control external threats.

This is software technology used to analyse video for specific information such as facial recognition, people and crowd behaviour, people count, number plate recognition.
